Parents, care givers and educators have asked me, "What is Zumbatomic?" Despite the spread of Zumba Fitness that has taken the fitness industry and stirred things up like crazy, very little is yet understood about Zumbatomic. In a nutshell, here's the answer...

What is Zumbatomic®?

The Zumbatomic® program was to create a fun, healthy program for children using the ZUMBA Fitness concept. ZUMBA Fitness developed a storyline (for DVD’s and a comic book) to intrigue children to watch, learn and choose a path toward a healthy lifestyle. The story was about a fictional scientist names Mr. Tomic who was looking for the formula for happiness. After many trials, he discovered that the formula is dance, music and exercise. That’s when he stumbles upon ZUMBATOMIC – an explosion of music, dance and energy.

The ZUBMATOMIC music and is 100 percent kid-friendly with songs, dances and actions that promote the overall theme of a healthy lifestyle. The music for the ZUMBATOMIC DVDs was specifically written with these goals in mind.

As an educator, parent or caregiver you understand the advantages of children participating in some form of healthy exercise. This is why my team and I at ‘Fitness Solutions Now!’ have taken two exciting class types, one with and one without choreography (Zumbatomic® & ‘No tackle’ Cardio Kickbox) to help parents and educators achieve the fitness goals of their students/children. Recognize differences in confidence, happiness, faster reaction times, higher self esteem, better classroom behavior, creativity, dexterity, physical, cognitive and emotional strength as well as better concentration, problem solving skills, memory and concentration.

An official ZUMBA® FOR KIDS program has been in the works since the inception of ZUMBA® FITNESS! It’s finally arrived in the form of ZumbAtomic®, which is a partially animated, partially realistic story, which follows a group of young students on their journey to bring their school & the world together through dance, fitness and healthy outlook on life. 

ZumbAtomic® blurs the lines between fitness & entertainment with its many characters that were designed to be role models and its original music specifically designed for ZUMBA® FOR KIDS. Young dancers are given the opportunity to get into fabulous, kidtastic shape through repetition, great music, cool lyrics and fun!

Zumbatomic®, a registered trademark of ZUMBA® Fitness LLC, is a specially designed class for children at the recommended age group of 4-12 and divided into two groups: 4-7 and 8-12.

Why Zumbatomic®?
The goal is NOT to become hot little Latin dancers. The goal is NOT to move as fast, far and large as possible.

The overall goal of ZUMBATOMIC® IS to create a fun, healthy program for children using the Zumba® fitness concept. The ZUMBATOMIC® music and movements are 100 percent kid-friendly (developmentally appropriate) with songs, dances and actions that promote the overall theme of a healthy lifestyle. In addition, it ZUMBATOMIC® aims to incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives, not just as a class they attend once a week. While exercise is indeed a very important element of childhood development, Zumbatomic® also considers other factors of the child’s development such as leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, responsibility as well as coordination, balance, discipline, memory and creativity.
